The second Test match between England and India at Lord’s cricket ground was at its entertaining best. Be it a brilliant display of batting, quality bowling or verbal banters among players, the second game of the series was host to everything.

With only two results possible in the final session of the game, Indian bowlers bowled their hearts out to bowl out England and win the match for their team to go 0-1 up in the five-Test series.

Virat Kohli gives it back to Ollie Robinson 

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli was very animated throughout in what has been a highly-tensed Test match against England. The words between two nations started to exchange after James Anderson was seen having a go at Jasprit Bumrah after stumps on Day 3 for his brutal over at him. The verbal spat continued even on the Day 4 as skipper Virat Kohli had some harsh words to say to Anderson for running on the pitch .

Things got even worse, when on Day 5, the whole England team had a go at Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami during India’s second innings. However, Indian skipper Virat Kohli made sure that hosts had a taste of their own medicine as he sledged almost every English batsmen when they came to bat.

When Ollie Robinson arrived at the crease, Virat Kohli was very vocal and had a go at him saying that the pacer laughed when he missed cover drive and now he’s saving a home Test match.

“This guy (Robinson) laughed at me when I missed a cover drive. Now he is playing to save a home test. How important is this innings in a test match? Come on then big mouth”

ENG vs IND: What KL Rahul said regarding the banter with English players? 

KL Rahul, who won the man of the match award for his outstanding century at Lord’s, said that if the hosts were to go after one of the Indians, all eleven would come right back at them.

“That’s what you expect with two competitive teams, you know, you are always going to see great skills, a lot of heart and a few words as well. That only shows how much both teams wants to win. We don’t mind a little bit of banter. And, you go after one of our guys, all 11 of us will come right back at them,” KL Rahul said.
