FORD TROPHY 2018: Squads, Full Schedule and Everything You Need To Know

The Ford Trophy 2018-19

The Ford Trophy, New Zealand’s domestic one-day tournament starts day after with Otago Volts taking on Central Districts in the opening encounter at Saxton Oval, Nelson. The clash will begin at 11:00 AM Local on Wednesday, October 24 (03:30 AM on Wednesday in IST).

A total of six teams – Canterbury, Central Districts, Otago, Wellington, Auckland and Northern Knights will compete in this 37-days long tournament with the final being scheduled to take place on December 01, Saturday. Auckland Aces are the defending champions while Central Districts finished off as runner-up in the last edition.

Defending champions- Auckland Aces

In last year’s final, Central Districts won the toss and opted to bat first. With the help of Skipper Will Young, Tom Bruce, and Doug Bracewell’s handy knocks, Districts posted 197-10 in 46.4 overs.

In response, Auckland Aces chased down the target in 32.4 overs with 6 wickets remaining. Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman and Jeet Raval were the key in the chase for Aces.
