The Indian cricket team is currently involved in a five-match Test series against England. Where the first Test between the two sides at Nottingham ended in a draw, the second Test match is currently underway at Lord’s. Both the sides have been neck to neck with each other and have set the stage for a thrilling third day of the second Test match.

Rishabh Pant tries convincing Virat Kohli to not take DRS

In the ongoing second Test match between England and India at Lord’s cricket ground, Mohammed Siraj after taking two wickets in the first over after tea was high on confidence and troubled English batsmen.

English skipper Joe Root was also struck on the pads by an excellent delivery from Mohammed Siraj. The Indian players appealed, but the appeal was turned down by the on-field umpire. It was then wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant went to skipper Virat Kohli and tried to prevent him from taking the decision upstairs in a hilarious fashion. But then, at the very last moment, Kohli took the review with a huge smile on his face. Even Mohammed Siraj was seen laughing.

Even after Kohli went upstairs, Pant was still engaged in a conversation with Kohli. However, India lost the review as the replays showed that the ball was missing the stumps.

IND vs ENG 2nd Test: What Happened on Day 2 of Lord’s Test match? 

After being dominated on the first day of the second Test match at Lord’s cricket ground, the Joe Root-led side staged a comeback on Day 2 and bundled out Team India for 364 runs. James Anderson once again shined for his team with the ball and exhibited high-class fast bowling to take a sensational five-wicket haul at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Stadium.

Replying’s to India’s score of 364 runs, England didn’t have the greatest of starts as they lost two wickets in quick succession of time. Skipper Joe Root along with Rory Burns stitched 85 runs for the third wicket and steadied the English innings. However just a few overs before the stumps, the southpaw was dismissed by Mohammad Shami. At stumps on Day 2, England is still 245 runs behind and were 119/3 with skipper Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow unbeaten at the crease on 48 and 6 respectively.
