The 2019 IPL auction saw yet another mind-blowing bidding war between teams which ended up benefiting the players. One of the key aspects of this auction was how far teams were ready to go to get their favored players and here we look at five such players who gained from this.

5. Mohit Sharma- 10X from 50 lacs to 5 crores

The pace bowler known for his subtle change of pace was out of the limelight in the recent past. He was part of India’s world cup squad in 2015 and before that caught everyone’s eyes by leading CSK’s bowling attack.

This season, CSK wanted him back in their team and paid a big price for it. Mohit has finally come back to his former home and will be paid INR 5 crores.

4. Akshdeep Nath-18X from 20 lacs to 3.6 crores

The 25 year old all-rounder was bought by RCB for a price of 3.6 crores courtesy of his ability to bring stability and provide balance to the team.

Nath has performed well in domestic cricket and hence more than one franchise was interested in him in during the auctions.

3. Prabhsimran Singh- 24X from 20 lacs to 4.8 crore

The teenage wicket-keeper batsman was one of the talking points of the 2019 auction.

He hammered 298 runs off 301 balls in an under-23 game and is also one among the five U-19 wicket-keepers selected for a camp at NCA.

Kings XI Punjab have paid a hefty price of 4.8 crores as along with his batting he offers a safe pair of hands behind the wickets.

2. Shivam Dube- 25X- from 20 lacs to 5 crores-

The latest sensation from Mumbai, Shivam Dubey has already impressed the likes of Sunil Gavaskar with his powerful hitting.

Dube recently smashed Pravin Tambe and Swapnil Singh for fives sixes in an over in domestic cricket and has made his mark.
