BCCI has announced has the 12-member India team for the second Test against Windies which begins from October 12 at Hyderabad. Mayank Agarwal has been left out once again which means the youngster will have to wait to make his Test debut.

No significant changes in the teamĀ

Virat Kohli prefers making changes in his playing eleven but surprisingly this time the team management has decided to make no changes in the 12-member team.

India are going ahead with the five batsmen and five bowler strategy with Rishabh Pant as the wicket-keeper.

No debut for Agarwal and Siraj

There were talks of Mayank Agarwal making his Test debut at Hyderabad but the team management has decided to go ahead with the pair of KL Rahul and Prithvi Shaw.

Now it will be interesting to see how the selectors handle Agarwal for the Australia tour. Will they send him to Australia as the third opener despite the fact that he has no exposure to international cricket or will they go back to Murali Vijay the experienced player?

Mohammad Siraj who impressed everyone with his recent performances in India A games has been left out as well.

Hanuma Vihari will be warming benches too after scoring a fifty in his debut Test against England.

Will it be a debut for Shardul Thakur?

The only question Kohli and co. have to answer before the the start of the Test is which two fast bowlers to choose. They have Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami and Shardul Thakur in the team and India will play only two of them.

Shami and Yadav were effective in the first Test and hence it will be difficult to drop any one of them. However Thakur is warming benches for some time now and the team management might consider offering him a Test debut.
