These players will miss Afghanistan Premier League
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) denied the request of the players to feature in the Afghanistan Premier League starting October 5 as quoted by a renowned media house of Pakistan. The board has refused to provide No Objection Certificate to the players which is needed to take part in the league.
Players like Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Irfan, Kamran Akmal and Iftikhar Ahmed requested PCB again to look out the decision once again, but the board remained unshaken.
Later on, PCB made some changes on their headstrong decision and granted permission to the retired players; still, professionally active members are not allowed to take part.
The decision impacted the players who are active but are not in the national team like Tanvir, Irfan, Akmal while Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz and Faheem Ashraf will be on the national duty.
Who is the only Pakistani player to feature in the Afghanistan Premier League?
Former Pakistani captain and legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi is the only free bird who will be taking part in the naïve league. He will be the only player from Pakistan participating in APL as well.
Kamran Akmal, M.Irfan, Sohail Tanvir & Iftikhar Ahmed have again requested PCB to grant them NOC for Afghanistan Premier League but PCB is staunch on its decision.
