Indian pace bowler Umesh Yadav made a terrific comeback in the Test side by picking up six wickets in the first innings against Windies at Hyderabad. He registered his career-best bowling figures by dismissing six Windies batsmen. And soon twitter flooded with congratulatory messages. Former cricketers and fans appreciated the pace bowler for his monumental bowling effort.
The right-arm pace bowler dismissed three Windies batsmen on the first day and then accounted for the remaining three wickets on the second morning of the second Test. By doing so he became the only third pace bowler to pick up a five-wicket haul in India since 2010.
Umesh first dismissed Shai Hope and then got rid of Ambris through LBW. The pacer later forced Jason Holder to offer a catch to Rishabh Pant behind the wickets and in the second morning of the Test, knocked out the overnight batsmen Devendra Bishoo and Roston Chase. The Saurashtra pace bowler then cleaned up Shanon Gibreal on his very first ball to end the Windies innings.

This is Yadav’s fifth five-wicket haul in Tests. And this is also the first time he has picked six wickets in an innings in a Test match.
The fierce spell of Yadav was appreciated by Twitter and soon the social media site was flooded by congratulatory tweets. The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar called Yadav a ‘workhorse’ and appreciated his efforts for bowling his heart out in Indian conditions which provide little support to the pace bowlers.
Other former cricketers and fans appreciated the Indian pace bowler as well.
