Team Preview

Bangalore

In the last match, Bangalore got absolutely butchered by the bowling of Hyderabad. Bangalore scored the lowest score of this year’s Indian T20 League, with just 68 runs on the board. Virat Kohli’s off-key performance this season has been a matter of concern for the fans. In the last match, he  got out on a duck.

The top order crumbled in the last match where the first four batters scored less than 10 runs. Only two players managed to score in double-digits. The team’s performance with the bat has not been up to the mark in the last few games and the form of their former skipper Virat Kohli is questionable so far.

The bowling of the Bangalore franchise has not been their best season. However, the addition of Australian Josh Hazlewood, has really brought some stability to the bowling unit. Mohammed Siraj has made little-to-no impact in the tournament so far. Overall, the team has to bounce back to get back on the track.

Rajasthan

Rajasthan has been unstoppable in the last few matches. It is the only team that has scored more than 200 runs the most times in this tournament. In the last match, Jos Butler silenced the bowlers when he hit his 3rd century of the Indian T20 League 2022. He scored 116 runs off just 65 balls. With his latest century, Buttler is the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 491 runs in his bag.

Yuzvendra Chahal is in a league of his own so far. The former Bangalore spinner has taken 18 wickets so far. Moreover, the rest of the bowling unit has performed up to the mark this season. Veteran Ravichandran Ashwin and Trent Boult are leading the bowling division with their over-the-top bowling figures. Youngster Prasidh Krishna impressed everyone in the last match against Kolkata. He took 3 wickets with 5.50 economy.

Pitch Report & Conditions

The wickets at MCA Stadium are known to be batting friendly initially, but also provide assistance to quality spin bowling. And going by the record, the chasing team has an advantage on the wickets at MCA Stadium in Pune.
