Kings XI Punjab will take on Delhi Capitals in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter. Both the teams are led by two of India’s finest young batsmen KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer under the guidance of legendary players Anil Kumble and Ricky Ponting respectively. Both sides look strong on paper, but it’s the Kings XI Punjab who has all their bases sorted out, at least on paper. So bet on KXIP to win this match.

Both of these teams are two of the least successful teams in the history of the tournament. But that doesn’t take away their chances in this year’s tournament. They have made significant changes to their squad and hence they will be hoping to turn things around this time.
Delhi just like last year has assembled a strong Indian core. With Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishab Pant in charge of the top-4, Ajinkya Rahane, who is an IPL veteran is most likely to warm the bench. They have also boosted their spin department with the addition of Ravichandran Ashwin. He along with Axar Patel is expected to complete the spin attack. In the fast bowling department, they will have the services of the ever so reliant Kagiso Rabada along with Mohit Sharma and Harshal Patel. Experienced seamer Ishant Sharma has suffered a back injury while training and is expected to miss the first few matches. The Australian duo of Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carrey is expected to play the role of the finishers. And as per reports coming in DC coach, Ricky Ponting has hinted that Anrich Nortje will start ahead of the spinner Sandeep Lamichane for the fourth overseas spot.
As for KXIP, their strength lies in the opening duo of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle. They would want these two to face the maximum number of deliveries. They will be followed by a young Indian middle-order which consists of Mayank Agarwal, Sarfaraz Khan, and Mandeep Singh. Glenn Maxwell will be in charge of the finishing role with Krishnappa Gautam expected to come in at number seven as a floater. They have a very dynamic bowling attack with Shami and Jordan likely to lead the pace attack and young Ravi Bishnoi to play in as the lone specialist spinner. The toss-up for the fourth overseas spot is likely to happen between the mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman and pacer Sheldon Cottrell, with the latter expected to get the first preference owing to the presence extra grass in the Dubai surface.
DC Playing 11: Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Alex Carey/Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Anrich Nortje, Harshal Patel/Mohit Sharma, Kagiso Rabada
KXIP Playing 11: KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Glenn Maxwell, Sarfraz Khan, Mandeep Singh, K Gowtham, Chris Jordan, Mohammed Shami, Sheldon Cottrell/Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Ravi Bishnoi
Expert free tip:
Ideally, the Dubai pitches behave on the slower side with the average first innings score dropping close to 140 in the last couple of years. But as per reports coming in the pitch that has been laid out for this match has even covering of grass and hence it is expected to assist both the seamers and spinners equally. That being said any first innings score above or close to 160 seems more than sufficient in this pitch. Considering the past results and the nature of the tournament, the teams are expected to field first, if they win the toss.
Predicted first innings score
If Delhi Capitals bat first: 140-150
If Kings XI Punjab bats first: 160-170
Players who are expected to perform well as per Dream11 Prediction.
DC- Rishab Pant
He was the leading run-scorer for Delhi in the last couple of seasons. His exploits at the second phase of the innings will prove to be useful for Delhi much like previous years. He is expected to continue his good run in the IPL.
KXIP- KL Rahul
KXIP captain KL Rahul is undoubtedly the most consistent batsman in T20 cricket right now. His IPL form has seen a sharp rise ever since he joined this franchise. With the added responsibility of captaincy at hand, he is expected to lead from the front with the bat.
Other prominent options: Shikhar Dhawan, Glenn Maxwell, Sarfaraz Khan
DC- Kagiso Rabada
Need wickets in the powerplay? Need wickets at the death? Kagiso Rabada is Shreyas Iyer's go-to man for all crisis situations. And guess what he hasn't disappointed yet. He is the DC bowler to put your money on.
KXIP- Chris Jordan
Chris Jordan is one of the most under-rated T20 bowlers. His T20 records, especially at the death overs as far superior to any other bowler in IPL 2020. As for cricket betting tips, pick this not so popular yet extremely talented bowler in your fantasy teams to gain big rewards in grand leagues.
Other prominent options: Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammad Shami
DC- Rishab Pant
KXIP- KL Rahul
Both these gentlemen have the ability to clear the boundary with ease. As for KXIP, there are some big hitters like Chris Gayle and Glenn Maxwell lined-up, but with the current form of Rahul, he is expected to face the most number of deliveries and hence the chances of him scoring more sixes are quite high.
Man of the Match
Considering the current form and the overall consistency of KL Rahul, it is tough to look beyond him for the Man of the Match prediction. He is expected to score big in his first-ever match as captain.
