We are all set for the much anticipate final clash of the Dream11 IPL 2020, as defending champions Mumbai Indians square off against a young and enthusiastic Delhi Capitals unit who have made it to the finals for the very first time. Mumbai have got the better of Delhi on three previous occasions this season and will have the mental edge. However, Delhi are expected to head in with a fresher mindset and will be hoping to bring their best later tonight. Here are some players wo can have a major say in the final.
Ishan Kishan has had a breakthrough IPL season in the UAE and will be eager to sign off with a bang. Kishan has scored 483 runs from 13 appearances this season, which constitutes a strike rate of 144.17 as well. Other than that, the 20-year-old has scored four fifties and has also struck 29 sixes so far, which is the most in the ongoing campaign.
Shikhar Dhawan has been the most integral batsman in the Delhi Capitals unit and is the second highest run getter in the tournament this season. The front line opener has scored 603 runs, which includes four fifties, two hundreds and a strike rate of 145.65. He didn’t bother the scorers in his last two meetings against Mumbai, and will have a point to prove in the game ahead.
Suryakumar Yadav has been a treat to watch in the IPL this season. The top order batsman has accumulated 461 runs from 15 appearances this season, which includes four fifties and a strike rate of 148.23. Yadav’s elegant stroke play and consistency among the runs certainly makes him one to watch out for in the big final.
The South African speedster currently holds the Purple Cap with 29 wickets from 16 appearances this season and will have the aim to not only win the title for his side, but to end up at the top of the charts with most wickets. He does have counter-part Jasprit Bumrah right behind his tail, but Rabada’s four-fer versus SRH in Qualifier 2 will provide him with added confidence.
Jasprit Bumrah has been one of, if not the most valuable player for the Mumbai Indians in the past couple of years. The premium fast bowler has scalped 27 wickets from just 14 appearances this season, and also has an economy rate of 6.71. The last time Bumrah squared off versus Delhi, he managed to pick up four wickets and will once again pose a threat here.
Marcus Stoinis has had a major impact in his first ever season for the Delhi Capitals. The Australian international has scored 352 runs from 16 appearances, which includes three fifties and a strike rate of 149.15. Other than that, he has also chipped in with the ball by picking up 12 wickets in the process. His all round abilities will be needed by the Capitals in the finale.
Jasprit Bumrah’s partner in crime Trent Boult has been equally supportive on the other end with his left-arm pace. Boult has been in sublime form with the new ball and has proved to be lethal for the opposition in the power play overs. The veteran fast bowler will need to be cautiously taken care off by the Delhi batsmen in the early overs.
