Finn Allen RCB: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) newest recruit Finn Allen stole the limelight with sensational power hitting prowess in the New Zealand vs Bangladesh 3rd T20I match. The right-handed wicket-keeper batsman smashed the second fastest fifty in T20I cricket for New Zealand off only 18 deliveries after Colin Munro who holds the record for the fastest half-century in just 14 balls.
In a rain-truncated T20I match reduced to 10-over per side, Allen smashed an outstanding knock of 71 runs off only 29 balls to power New Zealand to a massive total of 141 for 4 in their 10 overs. He smashed a total of 10 fours and 3 sixes during that staggering innings. Finn Allen hammered Bangladeshi spinner Nasum Ahmed for a total of 20 runs in the third over of the game Earlier, RCB had signed Allen as replacement for Jos Philippe for the upcoming IPL season.
With his sensational heroics with the bat in the T20I series against Bangladesh, Finn Allen looks to be in red hot form before his debut IPL stint. In the IPL 2021 season opener, the defending champions Mumbai Indians will be facing the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 9 in Chennai. With captain Virat Kohli already confirmed to start as an opener in the upcoming season, it will be really difficult for Allen to find a place in RCB’s playing XI but he might get to feature in the latter half of the tournament.
