R Premadasa Stadium Colombo ODI Stats and Records: Ahead of the Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan currently are battling it out against Afghanistan in a three-match ODI series. Interestingly, Sri Lanka are hosting the series for fellow Asian sides. The first two one-dayers were played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Hambantota as Pakistan managed to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 after winning both fixtures.
While they defeated Afghanistan comprehensively by 142 runs in the first ODI, they could only manage a one-wicket win in the second game. Afghanistan could not hold on to their nerves at the last moment and they would be ruing the chance to tie the series.
Now, the bandwagon will get out of Hambantota and reach Colombo as R Premadasa stadium will host the two sides in the third and the final one-day game. Pakistan will look to improve from the last game to enforce a clean sweep. Meanwhile, Afghanistan will try to register a win before signing out ahead of the Asia Cup 2023.
