The countdown for the 17th edition of the Asia Cup has begun. The premier cricket tournament of Asia is all set to commence on the 9th of September in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This edition promises to be a high-octane one with youth taking on the big stage.

This edition of the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format, and it will serve as a crucial dress rehearsal for the T20 World Cup slated for 2026 in India and Bangladesh. Every second edition since 2016 has been in T20 format, keeping in mind the T20 World Cup and its preparations.

Talking about the Asia Cup 2025, eight teams—India, Afghanistan, Oman, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong. Here’s how the eight teams will battle it out across two groups:
