Aussies will blow India away: Warne’s prediction for Perth Test

By Chaitanya Laxman

Former Australia spin bowler Shane Warne believes that Australia will blow away India in the Perth Test. He also hoped that Aussie pace bowler Mitchell Starc finds some form in the second Test.

Warne makes plenty of predictions in his tweet

The legendary Aussie leg-spinner made a tweet ahead of the second Test between Australia and India. He wished both the teams for the second Test but at the same time made some predictions.

Warne wrote in his tweet, ‘Good luck to both teams in Perth today for the second test ! Sorry to all my Indian fans, but given the pitch conditions, a hard, green bouncy & fast pitch – I think the Aussies will blow India away ! I hope Starc finds his form & gets 10 for the match & Finch gets a big 100’.

Warne not impressed with Starc

The leggie also hoped that opening batsman Aaron Finch will get a hundred in the match. However, in the first innings, Finch got out after scoring a fifty.

Warne has come down hard against pace bowler Starc who struggled a bit in the first Test. Warne expects Starc to find some form in the second Test.

Earlier in the week, while writing for a newspaper, the former Aussie spinner wrote that he has always heaped praise on Aussie bowlers, because he believes they have one of the best attacks in the world.

But Warne noted that Mitchell Starc’s performance with the second new ball in both innings was really poor and he feels the pacer is under pressure to hold his spot if he bowls in Perth like he did in Adelaide.

After waiting for 35 overs to get the first wicket, India claimed two more wickets in quick time to come back strongly in the Test.

India removed both the openers and the struggling Usman Khawaja in the second session to ensure the game is in balance at tea interval.
