BAN vs IND: After a nail-biter first ODI, Bangladesh and India are locking horns with each other in the second ODI at the same venue. While the hosts would be looking to clinch the series in this game itself, it’ll be do or die clash for the visitors as they will be desperate for a win to keep the series alive.

BAN vs IND: Why is Kuldeep Sen Not Playing Today’s Bangladesh vs India 2nd ODI Match?

Going into the match, India made two changes as Axar Patel and Umran Malik replaced Shahbaz Ahmed and Kuldeep Sen for the second game. While the first was a tactical change, the J&K pacer coming into the team was a forced change.

Kuldeep Sen, who made his debut in the first game, was deemed unfit to play the second game. The pacer complained of a stiff back after the first game, following which BCCI medical team didn’t gave him green signal for the game.

BCCI released the official statement, saying that, “Kuldeep Sen complained of back stiffness following the first ODI on Sunday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him and has advised him to rest. He was not available for selection for the 2nd ODI.”

Kuldeep had a decent outing on his debut. Although he was touch expensive but he bowled staggering well in patches. He conceded 37 runs in his five overs and also bagged two wickets in hu debut. It remains to be seen if he gets fit ahead of the third game or not.

BAN vs IND: Umran Malik breathing fire for India in second ODI against Bangladesh 

Kuldeep’s injury came as a blessing in disguise for India as it brought Umran Malik into the side. The pacer has been breathing fire so far in the second game. He has made Bangladesh batters dance and wobble with his consistent 150 kmph pace.

He started his spell with a maiden over, in which he troubled Shakib Al Hasan with the mix of short deliveries before uprooting the stumps of Najmul Hossain Shanto in his second over. In his first overs, the pacer conceded just 8 runs and also bowled two maiden overs as well.
