The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken legal action against South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch for allegedly violating his contract with the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Bosch was picked in the diamond category by Peshawar Zalmi during the PSL 2025 draft and was expected to play a key role in the team.

Reports suggest that Bosch considered stepping away from his PSL contract to join Mumbai Indians for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The 30-year-old is being eyed as a replacement for injured fast bowler Lizaad Williams in the squad. The IPL is set to run from March 22 to May 25.

According to the PCB, Bosch has been formally served a legal notice through his agent. The board stated:

“South Africa’s Corbin Bosch has been served a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) alleging breach of the all-rounder’s contractual obligations to the PCB.”

The PCB emphasized that Bosch’s withdrawal from the league could lead to consequences. He has been asked to respond within a given time frame, and the board has decided not to comment further until then.

Bosch has yet to make his IPL debut but has been involved with the league before. He was previously a reserve player for Rajasthan Royals. His connection with Mumbai Indians comes from his time with MI Cape Town in the SA20 league. During their title-winning campaign, he took 11 wickets in seven innings with an economy rate of 8.68.

A move to Mumbai Indians would bring Bosch back together with SA20 teammate Ryan Rickelton. His presence would also provide more depth in the seam-bowling all-rounder department alongside Hardik Pandya and Raj Bawa.
