Mayank Agarwal bowled

Mayank Agarwal bowled: After a huge build-up, Border-Gavaskar Trophy finally got underway today at Adelaide Oval. Hosts Australia and India will go head to head in a bid to take initial honors in this four test match series.

Mayank Agarwal bowled, Pat Cummins at it again!

World No. one test bowler in the world Pat Cummins is back playing his favourite format again. And it didn’t take long for him to make an impact with the pink ball. After winning the toss, Virat Kohli elected to bat first at Adelaide today. The tourists had a terrible start as Prithvi Shaw was dismissed by Mitchell Starc on the second delivery of the match.

Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara came together for some rearguard action for team India. The pair played to their limitations and didn’t try any extravagant shots against near perfect bowling plans of Australia. It was a period of attritional test cricket as India were looking to see-off the first session of play. But Pat Cummins came on as the first change bowler and started asking questions to batsmen straight away. One of his deliveries nipped back significantly to find the mere gap between bat and pads of Mayank Agarwal when he was on 17. The ball disturbed the furniture of Mayank Agarwal who couldn’t believe as he started his walk back towards the pavilion. It was a ‘Jaffa’ as they say in Australia!

All depends on Indian middle order!

India would be looking to post a challenging first innings total against Australia. After losing a couple of wickets in the first session, India would be hoping that Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara go big in the evening session. A total anywhere near 250 runs batting first in the D/N test will set up this contest rather perfectly to live upto all the billings before this series.
