With four wins in 11 games, the road to the play-offs is not impossible for RCB but the team will know that it is a highly difficult one. Of the many things that need to happen to take RCB into the play-offs, the primary one is that they must win all their remaining games and here they are lined up against Delhi Capitals on Sunday.

Delhi Capitals meanwhile are doing fine in IPL 2019 courtesy of their pace bowling attack and the individual brilliance from their batsmen. But they need to fine-tune a few aspects before things become tight for them.

The highlight of the contest however will be kagiso Rabada versus AB de Villiers, the two South African players who are in red hot form.

Team News:

Moeen Ali was one of the heroes of RCB’s late revival in IPL 2019 but now he is heading back to England which means there is another gaping hole for the team management to fix.

Dale Steyn has been ruled out due to an injury which means RCB’s hunt for a dependable pacer continues.

Form guide:

ABD is in tremendous form while Kohli has done well. Parthiv’s underrated consistency is keeping things together but RCB will expect the middle-order to fire more.

The bowling looks a worry with Steyn out of the picture as except Yuzvendra Chahal others have struggled often.

Delhi on the other hand will expect their overseas recruit to fire in the middle-order as their top order is doing fine along with Rishabh Pant as the finisher.

Key Numbers:

  • RCB has dominated Delhi in the Indian Premier League so far. Bangalore has won 15 matches while Delhi has won just seven.

  • In the last 15 matches, Delhi has won only twice and they have been poor at their home ground. RCB have won 6 of the 8 matches played at this venue.
