Duleep Trophy Squads of All Teams for 2022/23 Season – Check Players List

    The Duleep Trophy returns to action for the first time since the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also kickstart the 2022/23 domestic season in India.

    Duleep Trophy Squads

    This year, there will be six teams- East Zone, West Zone, North Zone, North East Zone, South Zone, and Central Zone. The tournament will be played in a knock-out format starting from 8 September.

    1. North Zone squad

    The senior batter Mandeep Singh will lead the North Zone team which also features Siddharth Kaul and Navdeep Saini. The former CSK batter Dhruv Shorey has been named as Mandeep Singh’s deputy.

    2. South Zone squad

    The Indian batter Hanuma Vihari, who has returned to Andhra for the upcoming season, will lead the side. Undoubtedly, this is one of the strongest teams in the tournament, thanks to the likes of experienced players like Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal among others.

    3. East Zone squad

    The veteran batter Manoj Tiwary has been named as the captain of the team which also features young talents like Riyan Parag, Shabaz Ahmed and Kumar Kushagra.

    4. West Zone squad

    The Indian star batter Ajinkya Rahane will lead the charge of West Zone which has prominent names like Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Prithvi Shaw, and Jaydev Unadkat.

    5. Central Zone squad

    The in-form players Kumar Kartikeya, Priyam Garg, and Venkatesh Iyer are likely to take the centre stage in the team which will be led by Uttar Pradesh’s Karan Sharma.

    6. NorthEast Zone Squad

    North-East Zone comprising six states- Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Sikkim will feature in the first-ever Duleep Trophy competition. Sikkim’s Ashish Thapa will lead the side.
