ENG Playing 11: It’s the start of the English summer and hosts England will be up against a strong New Zealand side in the first Test here at the iconic Lord’s. England have rested many of their players who were part of the IPL. The focus will be on their young guns who have performed well at county cricket. In the overall head-to-head record in Test cricket, England lead New Zealand with a whopping margin of 48-11. But this time, they will be up for a bigger challenge as New Zealand look well prepared and have a full strength team at disposal.

England will be missing several important players like Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow and Jofra Archer for different reasons. But it’s time for their exciting young players to make a mark here.
