Virat Kohli drops it: The first ODI between India and England ended with the hosts getting the win by 66 runs at the MCA Stadium in Pune. It was good all round display by the Men in Blue with both bat and ball. In the first innings, The Indians got to a score of 317. Shikhar Dhawan topped the charts with a 98, while, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya scored over a fifty each.

In reply England kicked off proceedings in grand manner with Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow going out all guns blazing. The opening duo smashed 134 runs under 15 overs and set the perfect platform for a comfortable win. However, wickets at regular intervals from debutant Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur and Bhuvneshwar Kumar rattled the visitors and inspired the turnaround.
