1. Charlie Turner – 6 Tests

Charlie Turner was one of the most lethal bowlers to have played the game of cricket. The right-arm pacer represented Australia in just 17 Tests from 1887 to 1895 and his 101 wickets in just a few matches depict how good a bowler he was. He’s first on the list of bowlers to take the Fastest 50 wickets in test as he achieved the feat in his 6th Test.

2. Tom Richardson – 7 Tests 

English pacer Tom Richardson is second on the list of bowlers to take the Fastest 50 wickets in test. Representing England in 14 Tests between 1893 and 1898, Richardson bagged a total of 88 Test wickets in his short career. He took his 50th Test wicket in his 7th Test against Australia at Lord’s.

3. Veron Philander – 7 Tests 

South African bowling all-rounder Veron Philander had a huge success in his Test career. The right-arm medium pacer made his debut for the Proteas in 2011 and represented the nation in a total of 64 Test matches. In his Test career spanning 9 years, he bagged 224 wickets to his name. The initial phase of his Test career saw many ups and he also became the third bowler with Fastest 50 wickets in test.

4. Fred Spofforth – 8 Tests 

The first bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket Fred Spofforth sits fourth on the list of bowlers to take the Fastest 50 wickets in test. The right-arm pacer represented Australia in 18 Tests from 1877 to 1887. Nicknamed as the ‘Demon’, he bagged 94 Test wickets in his career, spanning 10 years. He took his first fifty Test wickets in his 8th Test against England at SCG.

5. Alf Valentine – 8 Tests 

West Indies cricket in the early 90s was dominant and beating them was an uphill task for any team and one such reason was their lanky pacers. But being the off-spinner m Alf Valentine was among those bowlers who posed threat for other batters. He represented West Indies in 36 Tests from 1950 to 1962 and bagged 139 wickets in his career spanning 12 years. He is the fifth bowler to take the Fastest 50 wickets in test, achieving the feat in his 8th Test.
