GT vs CSK, Match 1 of IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans Player Availability & Probable Playing XI

The opening match of IPL 2023 will be played between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and the 4-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings. The Super Kings have made some really good acquisitions in the 2023 auctions with the best being English Red Ball captain Ben Stokes. With Stokes at the helm, CSK will be looking forward to a great run in this edition after a disappointing 2022 season.

GT vs CSK Team News: David Miller unavailable for first Match

David Miller, the talented South African cricketer, will not be available to play in the opening game of the upcoming GT tournament due to his commitments with the national team. Miller is set to participate in an ODI series against the Netherlands during the same period, which means he will miss the first game. Miller was one of the reasons why Gujarat Titans lifted the IPL trophy in their inaugural season.

This news will be disappointing for his team, who were counting on Miller’s explosive batting skills and experience. However, Matthew Wade, the experienced Australian cricketer, is expected to take Miller’s place in the first game. Wade is a talented batsman and a capable wicketkeeper, making him an excellent replacement for Miller at least for the opening few games.
