All the teams barring Afghanistan are in contention but they can ruin the chances of other teams as well. There’s no certainty who’ll qualify from this group and it’ll be enthralling week for the cricket fans.
How can Australia Qualify for semi-final of T20 World Cup 2022
Talking about the Australian Cricket Team, they have done decently well in the tournament having won two games out of their four matches. While they faced a big defeat in their opening encounter against New Zealand, their game against England was called off due to rain.
They are currently placed third on the points table with 5 points to their name with NRR of -0.304. Their qualification scenario was hampered when they suffered a massive 89-run loss against New Zealand in tournament. But they still are in contention.
All they need to do is first win the game against Afghanistan, which is slated to take place on 4th November in Adelaide. They would want to defeat the the opposition by big margin so that their NRR gets boosted.
They would want England to lose against Sri Lanka. If this happens and they beat Afghanistan by big margin, they will qualify for the semi-finals. But if England defeats Sri Lanka they would want them to do it by small margin and would hope that New Zealand lose to Ireland. In that case they will go through.
