The International Cricket Council has announced the awards for the year 2022 and also have named the teams of the year for the all three formats. Players have rewarded for their extraordinary effort last year. In this piece we take look at all the ICC ICC Awards 2022.

Who Won ICC T20I Player of the Year ?

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav was award ICC T20I Player of the Year. The right-hander was in a sensational form in the shortest format of the game last year as he made mockery of almost every opposition he played against. He scored 1164 runs in 31 matches at an average of 46.56 and a strike-rate of 187.43. Also he smashed two hundreds and nine half-centuries. 

Who Won ICC Women T20I Player of the Year ?

Australia’s Tahlia McGrath was awarded the ICC Women T20I Player of the Year. The all-rounder was at her best with both bat and ball as put her team in comfortable position in almost every game. She scored 435 runs in 16 matches at an average of 62.14 and also took 13 wickets.

Who Won ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year ?

Namibia’s skipper Gerhard Erasmus was awarded ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year. The all-rounder was at his best in white-ball cricket. He scored 956 ODI runs at 56.23 and a strike rate of 78.23. Also he bagged 12 wickets at 27.66 and economy 4.04. The Namibia captain also scored 306 T20I runs at 38.25 and strike rate of 122.40. To go with 6 wickets at 18.50, economy 5.55.

Who Won ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year ?

UAE’s Esha Oza was awarded ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year. She scored 675 T20I runs at 35.52, strike rate 134.19 and average 35.52 to go with two centuries, two fifties. Not only this, she also took 15 T20I wickets at 15.40, economy 4.84.

Who Won ICC Emerging Cricketer Of the year ?

Marco Jansen was awarded Emerging Player of the Year award. The southpaw was one of the best pacers going around last year. He took 36 Test wickets at 19.02 and also scored 234 runs in the longest format of the game. Apart from that, he took two ODI wickets and one T20I wicket.

WHO WON ICC Women’s EMERGING PLAYER OF THE YEAR ?

Indian fast bowler Renuka Singh was award ICC Women’s Emerging Player of the Year. She played an instrumental role in her side’s success. She took 18 ODI wickets at an average of 14.88 and economy of 4.62. Whereas in T20Is, she was owner of 22 wickets at 23.95, economy 6.50.

Who Won ICC ODI Player of the Year ?

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the ICC ODI Player of the Year. The right-hander was at his exceptional best in the 50-over former last year and bailed his team out of trouble many times. He amassed 679 runs from nine matches at an average of 84.87 with three centuries.

Who Won ICC Women ODI Player of the Year ?

England’s Nat Sciver was awarded ICC Women ODI Player of the Year. She head a memorable year as she was the second in the year in run-getters in the ODIs last year. She scored 833 runs at an average of 59.5 and a strike-rate of 91.43 to go with five half-centuries and two centuries. Apart from his this she also took 11 wickets with the ball.

Who Won ICC Test Player of the Year ?

English skipper Ben Stokes was awarded ICC Test Player of the Year. The all-rounder was the main architect behind his team’s turnaround in longest format of the game. He led from the front as well as he scored 870 runs at an average of 36.25 with two half-centuries. With the ball he was decent too as he took 26 wickets at an average of 31.19

Who Won ICC Cricketer of the Year ?

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was awarded ICC Cricketer of the Year. It’s fair to say that he carried his team single handedly and was main reason behind their success. In the year, 2022, he scored 2598 runs in 44 matches at an average of 54.12 with eight centuries and 15 half-centuries.

Who Won ICC Women Cricketer of the Year ?

England’s Nat Sciver was awarded ICC Women Cricketer of the Year. She was exceptional with both as well as the ball as she scored 1346 runs and picked 22 wickets from 33 international matches. She was the chief architect behind England’ success last year.
