The official schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has been released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The 10th edition of the women’s edition of the T20 World Cup is set to get underway in England and Wales from June 12 and will last till July 5, 2026. This T20 World Cup will be bigger than ever, as a total of 12 teams will be participating in this close to month-long tournament. The announcement has generated excitement among the fans of women’s cricket, who seem to be eagerly waiting for the global spectacle in England and Wales.

The inaugural champions and hosts, England, will be involved in the opening game of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 against Sri Lanka at Edgbaston in Birmingham on June 12. Lord’s, The Oval, Headingley, Old Trafford, Bristol County Ground, Edgbaston, and Hampshire Bowl are the venues selected for this marquee event. The White Ferns, i.e., New Zealand, will enter the tournament as the defending champions, with Australia Women, England Women, and South Africa Women listed as the probable contenders for the title. Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands earned their spots through the qualifiers, with the Dutch side making their debut appearance at the Women’s T20 World Cup.
