The 13th edition of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup is set to be a landmark event in the history of women’s cricket. Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the tournament will run from September 30 to November 2, 2025, featuring eight elite teams battling for global supremacy. The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 will feature the largest prize pool in the history of women’s cricket, totaling a staggering USD 13.88 million (₹122.5 crore approx). This marks a 297% increase from the USD 3.5 million awarded in the 2022 edition, and notably surpasses the USD 10 million prize pool of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah called this announcement a “defining milestone” in the journey of women’s cricket, emphasizing the commitment to pay parity and the goal of inspiring future generations.
