Navdeep Saini to join Team India

Team India to call Navdeep Saini to provide practice to this Indian batsmen as Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s injury is not yet recovered fully.

Saini arrived in Manchester on Monday ahead of India’s World Cup 2019 clash against West Indies. The right-arm fast bowler is currently the only net bowler with the Indian team. Saini, played for Royal Challengers Banglore, will help batsmen train for the upcoming match.

No net bowlers left with Team India

Bowlers Deepak Chahar and Avesh Khan came back to India in the first week of June, whereas Khaleel Ahmed was with the team, and now when Khaleel is also leaving, the Indian team has no net bowlers left with them. Khaleel travelled back to feature in the series against West Indies A.

26-year-old Navdeep can probably lead to him being the substitution for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who suffered pain in his left hamstring and was forced to walk off the field during the match against Pakistan and later on missed the match against Afghanistan.
