This also means that Suryakumar Yadav will remain on the bench for the third consecutive Test match of this four-match Test series. After making his Test debut in Nagpur, Suryakumar managed to score just 8 runs in his only inning and then he was replaced by Shreyas Iyer from the second Test match onwards. On the other hand, Iyer’s scores in this series so far are 4, 12, 0 and 26, but he has been a consistent run-scorer for the Indian team across the three formats of the game in the last couple of years.
