The hosts registered an amazing 8-run victory to level the five-match T20I series by 2-2 and keep their hopes alive in the exciting India vs England T20I series. While playing in his first international innings, Suryakumar Yadav played a stunning knock of 57 runs off only 31 balls to help India reach a challenging total of 185 runs after which the duo of Shardul Thakur and Hardik Pandya bowled excellently to snatch a thrilling win.

England were looking on course to chase down the total of 185 runs until when Indian pacer Shardul Thakur turned match on its head by dismissing both Ben Stokes and Eoin Morgan off consecutive deliveries in the 17th over. However, due to a lot of dew in the second innings in Ahmedabad, the ball accidentally slipped from Shardul’s hands while delivering the last ball of the 17th over to Chris Jordan after which the on-field umpire adjudged it as a dead ball. In the real time look, the incident looked extremely funny as the Indian fast bowler bowled a funny moon ball.

England required 23 runs off the last 6 balls to win the 4th T20I and it was once again Shardul Thakur with the ball for India. However, Jofra Archer smashed a six and four to put the Indian pacer under extreme pressure which also forced him to bowl some extra deliveries. Eventually, it was Shardul who held his nerves as India picked up a brilliant 8-run victory. With the series evenly poised, India and England will now lock horns in the 4th T20I match on March 20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
