IND vs ENG: England ODI squad announced; Jofra Archer Rested

England ODI squad announced : After a closely fought T20I series, the India vs England 3 match ODI series begins on 23^rd of March. This series will be the final international assignment for both the teams before they enter into the all important Indian Premier League that starts on 9^th of April.

With only 3 days to go for the first game, England have named their ODI squad today with one of their most important bowlers being rested for the series.

IND vs ENG: Jofra Archer’s injury forces England to rest him

England played their full strength XI in the T20I series in which Jofra Archer was part of all the 5 games. He was brilliant but Indian batsmen were able to get the better of him more often than not. After a tiring 4 match test series, it was always expected that a tearaway quick like Jofra Archer would broke down and it has happened now.

He wasn’t named in the 14 man squad for the 3 match series and it was also reported that Jofra Archer would miss the first half of IPL to give some rest to his body. All the 3 ODIs will be played in Pune.

Eoin Morgan (c), Moeen Ali, Jonathan Bairstow, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler (wk), Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Liam Livingstone, Matt Parkinson, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Reece Topley, Mark Wood.

The likes of Chris Jordan, Jake Ball and Dawid Malan would be traveling with the team as backups.

Mark Wood to lead the pace attack

With the absence of Jofra Archer, the express quick in Mark Wood becomes the leader of the pace attack. He will have Sam Curran and Tom Curran supporting him in the fast bowling department.
