India (IND) will be up against (Pakistan) in the 19th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
India will heavily rely on their in-form duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh in their highly anticipated T20 World Cup clash against Pakistan. Both have been in sublime form, as seen against Ireland in their opening game. Bumrah has beautifully carried his red-hot IPL form into this tournament. His ability to generate bounce and move the ball both ways makes him a strong threat, capable of unsettling world-class batters like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Bumrah’s clever variations and well-executed yorkers could prove to be a real test for the Pakistani middle order.
Arshdeep Singh has impressive numbers against Pakistan in T20s, taking 6 wickets in just 3 games. His swinging deliveries and well-directed yorkers have caught many batters off guard, and his clever use of cutters could be crucial in the death overs against the likes of Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed.
On the other hand, Shaheen Shah Afridi will be Pakistan’s trump card with the new ball. The left-arm pacer has been a thorn in the side of the Indian batters, particularly Rohit Sharma, with his threatening inswinging deliveries. Afridi’s ability to generate late movement and extract bounce from the surface has caused problems for Rohit in the past, and their battle could be a decisive factor in the game.
