Jasprit Bumrah IND vs SL: In a massive breaking news development, India’s premier speedster Jasprit Bumrah is very much likely to miss the upcoming IND vs SL 2023 three-match ODI series scheduled to be played at home. The Indian team recently registered an incredible 2-1 series victory during the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka at home and will be eyeing to continue the same form in the 50-overs format as well. The India vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI is scheduled to take place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on 10 January, 2023.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sourced have confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will be unavailable to take part in the home ODI series against Sri Lanka starting on Tuesday. After having recovered from a long injury lay-off, the BCCI is not very much keen on rushing the senior fast bowler into action very soon. Since being out of action due to injury from September 2022, Bumrah was a last minute inclusion in the India ODI squad for the Sri Lanka series and the pacer has not even joined the rest of the teammates in Guwahati ahead of the opening ODI match.
The BCCI is yet to make an official confirmation on Jasprit Bumrah’s unavailability for the India vs Sri Lanka ODI series. The 29-year-old pace bowler is very much likely to return into international cricket from the forthcoming IND vs NZ 2023 three-match ODI series scheduled to start with the first ODI on 18 January, 2023 in Hyderabad.
