The road to Cricket World Cup 2023 for India Cricket Team begins with ODI series against Sri Lanka in January. They will host the Island nation for the three games. The first match will be played in Guwahati on 10th January followed by second and third game to be played on 12th January and 15th January in Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is likely to back from the injury for the series against Sri Lanka and open the innings alongside Shikhar Dhawan, who is expected to be given one more series despite poor form.
There’s no brainer that Virat Kohli will bat at No.3 with Shreyas Iyer set to bat at No.4. The youngster has been India’s best batter in the 50-over format and has locked the position.
With KL Rahul likely to be rested for the series, Rishabh Pant is expected to be keeper batter in the team. Hardik Pandya along with Ravindra Jadeja are also likely to make a comeback in the ODI team and play the role of all-rounder in the side.
Kuldeep Yadav is likely to be preferred over Yuzvendra Chahal for the first ODI as he been in the decent form and is expected to play a crucial role. Mohammed Siraj, who has been exceptional with the ball in all three formats is likely to form the pacer batter with returning Jasprit Bumrah and Umran Malik.
