Rahul Tripathi debut IND vs SL: In a big breaking news update, Maharashtra’s right-handed batsman Rahul Tripathi has got a massive opportunity as he is making India T20I debut at his home venue at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune for the second T20I against Sri Lanka. India managed to sneak an amazing 2-run victory over Sri Lanka in the first T20I game. The Indian side now have a lead of 1-0 in the three-match T20I series so far.

India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour handed over the debut cap to Rahul Tripathi for the 2nd T20I encounter against Sri Lanka in Pune. During the previous edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the right-handed batter performed really well for Maharashtra as he scored an excellent total of 524 runs from 8 games at a phenomenal average of more than 87. Tripathi has also done consistently well in the last few seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL) having mustered more than 1700 runs from 76 matches at a fine strike-rate of over 140 that includes as many as 10 fifties. The 31-year-old now has got the big opportunity to play for India as Sanju Samson misses out due to a knee injury. However, it will be really interesting to see where will the debutant fit in this batting line-up.
