India’s cricketing journey continues after the exciting IPL 2023 season. Before the IPL, Team India showcased their prowess with victories against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. They won the T20 series against Sri Lanka 2-1 and swept the ODI series 3-0. Against New Zealand, they clinched the ODI series 3-0 and won the T20 series 2-1.
India’s most recent battle was against Australia, where they played four Tests and three ODIs. Displaying their mettle, India emerged victorious in the Test series by 2-1, but went down in the 3-match ODI series by 1-2. As a result of their stellar performance in the Test series, they secured their spot in the final of the World Test Championship, where they faced Australia.
With an impressive winning percentage of 58.80, India currently holds the second position in the World Test Championship Trophy. Out of the 18 matches played in the championship, India has won 10, lost 5, and drawn 3. Australia and India have cemented their places in the WTC Final Match 2023.
India’s next match after IPL 2023 is the highly anticipated World Test Championship final against Australia. The clash will take place on June 7, 2023, at Kensington Oval in the UK. Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team, while Pat Cummins will captain the Australian team.
Following the WTC final, India’s schedule continues with a tour of the West Indies in July 2023. The series will consist of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is, with the BCCI set to release the schedule soon.
