David Warner India vs Australia: In a crucial news update, Australia’s senior opening batsman David Warner will not be playing the third Test match against India as he has been ruled out from the remainder of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 four-match Test series. After having lost the opening Test match by an innings and 132 runs, the visiting Australian team did come back strongly as they took a 1-run lead in the first innings of the second Test match but then the Aussies suffered a dramatic batting collapse and ended up losing another game in a matter of less than three days. Australia are behind by 0-2 margin in the four-match Test series.
India vs Australia: Why is David Warner Not Playing Today’s IND vs AUS 3rd Test?
David Warner was not able to bat in the second innings of the Delhi Test match against India after having sustained a concussion during the opening innings. He was subsequently ruled out of selection for the remainder of the two Test matches due to an elbow fracture. The southpaw opener has suffered a hairline fracture on his left elbow after having struck on the same by Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj in the first innings of the second Test match. Warner has already left India for his home in Sydney but he is very much likely to be back for the three-match ODI series starting in March 2023 in India. He was also going through a torrid batting form in the ongoing tour having scored just 26 runs in the three innings.
