In an important news development, Australia are not playing wicket-keeper batsman Jos Inglis in the playing 11 for the second ODI encounter against India being played at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. However, Australia will be hoping that Carey contributes well both with the gloves and as a batsman having scored more than 1600 runs from 63 ODI matches at an average of over 35 that comprises of 7 fifties and 1 hundred.

“We will have a bowl. Different surface, been under covers for a while, might do something. Just a partnership through the middle would have helped us. It’s a good learning for us playing on these surfaces. Ellis comes in for Maxwell who has pulled up a bit sore and Carey is back for Inglis,” said Australia captain Steve Smith during the toss.
