IND vs ENG 3rd T20I Live: England that started off proceedings with a comfortable win by 8 wickets which got them the edge in the five match T20I series. However, the hosts, India bounced back in grand manner to dismantle the Three Lions with a comprehensive seven-wicket win. With the series now on level terms by 1-1, we can expect the remainder of the games to be mouth watering contests. Both India and England have flair, youth, courage and experience in their respective squads, and here are some of the players who can indeed pack a punch in the 3rd T20I.
Captain Kohli has been a bit on and off in recent times, but his recent knock of and unbeaten 73 runs from 49 deliveries suggests that he is steadily on his way back up. After winning the hitting six, Virat Kohli became the first batsman in the international circuit to score 3000 runs in T20Is. Kohli now has 26 fifties under his belt, with a strike rate of 139, and a sublime average of 50.9.
2 Jofra Archer
The England speedster has been one of the most pivotal performers in England’s dominance over white ball cricket lately. Jofra Archer was rightfully named the ‘Player of the Match’ in the first T20I, courtesy his figures of 3/23 from his four over spell. He now has 10 wickets from nine T20Is. Apart from that, The 25-year-old also enjoys bowling in subcontinent conditions as he has picked up 46 wickets from 35 appearances in the IPL.
3 Ishan Kishan
It was a special day for young Ishan Kishan as he made his debut in the international circuit. However, it didn’t seem like it was his first ever game for India, as he displayed utter dominance with the bat while opening the innings. Kishan went on to smash 56 runs from 32 deliveries, which included five boundaries and four sixes. He struck 30 sixes in last season’s IPL, which were the most in the tournament. The England bowlers will now be wary of the threat the 22-year-old possesses.
4 Jason Roy
Jason Roy has started off fairly well in the series so far. The specialist opener scored 49 in the first T20I, which was followed up with a 46 in the second. However, he will now be looking to convert his positive starts into big scores which could put a lot of pressure on the Indian bowlers. Roy has scored 985 runs from 40 T20Is, which includes five fifties and a strike rate of 143.8
5 K.L. Rahul
In spite of K.L. Rahul getting dismissed cheaply in both the innings, it would be hard to not have in the list of players to watch out. Rahul has scored 1543 runs from 47 T20Is, which includes 12 fifties and two hundreds. One of those hundreds came against England in Southampton. The Punjab Kings skipper also has a strike rate of 143.7 and an average of 41.7, which makes him a real asset for the Men in Blue.
