Punjab Kings (PBKS)

The Punjab Kings are the current table toppers with 2 wins from 2 games. The Shreyas Iyer-led side has surprised everyone with how they have played so far. From leadership to strategies, Shreyas Iyer has been on top of his game, and defeating two good teams like Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants has definitely boosted their confidence. With 2 wins from 2 games, Shreyas Iyer and Ricky Ponting’s captain-coach duo has been doing wonders so far.

PBKS 2025 Squad: Shreyas Iyer (C), Shashank Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Nehal Wadera, Harpreet Brar, Vishnu Vinod, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Yash Thakur, Josh Inglis, Lockie Ferguson, Azmatullah Omarzai, Harnoor Pannu, Kuldeep Sen, Priyash Arya, Aaron Hardie, Musheer Khan, Suryash Shedge, Pyla Avinash, Xavier Bartlett, Pravin Dubey

Delhi Capitals (DC)

The Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals are the current holders of the second spot on the IPL 2025 points table. Delhi Capitals have been formidable and ruthless in their approach so far. With a good amalgamation of youth and experienced players, the Capitals have surprised one and all with their performance and are the second-placed side on the points table, just behind the Punjab Kings. As far as their performance is concerned, DC defeated LSG in their tournament opener by 1 run, followed by a win against SRH by 7 wickets.

DC 2025 Squad: Axar Patel (C), Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs, Abhishek Porel, Mitchell Starc, KL Rahul, Jake Fraser-McGurk, T Natarajan, Karun Nair, Sameer Rizvi, Mohit Sharma, Faf du Plessis, Mukesh Kumar, Darshan Nalkande, Vipraj Nigam, Dushmantha Chameera, Donovan Ferreira, Ajay Mandal, Manvanth Kumar, Tripurana Vijay, Madhav Tiwari

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Royal Challengers Bengaluru just took their first beating of the season at the hands of Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets. It wasn’t a homecoming RCB would have expected, as they were humiliated in front of their home crowd. This was RCB’s first defeat in three matches, and all of a sudden they have lost their pole position on the points table and dropped down two places to the third spot. RCB will play their next game on April 7th against the 5-time champions, Mumbai Indians, at the famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

MI 2025 Squad: Hardik Pandya (C), Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Trent Boult, Naman Dhir, Robin Minz, Karn Sharma, Ryan Rickelton, Deepak Chahar, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman, Will Jacks, Ashwani Kumar, Mitchell Santner, Reece Topley, Shrijith Krishnan, Raj Angad Bawa, Satyanarayana Raju, Bevon Jacobs, Arjun Tendulkar, Corbin Bosch, Vignesh Puthur

Gujarat Titans (GT)

The Titans are fresh off a win over RCB in their last game by 8 wickets. They have now registered two wins on the trot and climbed to the fourth position on the points table. The Titans had an underwhelming start to their tournament after they were pummeled by Punjab Kings at home by 11 runs. However, the Shubman Gill-led side bounced back quickly with two back-to-back wins over Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.

GT 2025 Squad: Shubman Gill (c), Sai Sudharsan, Rashid Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Jos Buttler, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Nishant Sindhu, Mahipal Lomror, Kumar Kushagra, Anuj Rawat, Manav Suthar, Washington Sundar, Gerald Coetzee, Arshad Khan, Gurnoor Brar, Sherfane Rutherford, Sai Kishore, Ishant Sharma, Jayant Yadav, Glenn Phillips, Karim Janat, Kulwant Khejroliya

Mumbai Indians (MI)

The 5-time champions Mumbai Indians have finally got themselves going on the points table with a dominating win over Kolkata Knight Riders at their home, i.e., the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. That was MI’s first win of the season after two back-to-back defeats at the hands of CSK and GT. Mumbai Indians are profoundly known as slow starters, and with a win in their kitty now, the Hardik Pandya-led side will be asking for more. Currently placed fifth, MI will next play LSG away from home at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

MI 2025 Squad: Hardik Pandya (c), Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Trent Boult, Naman Dhir, Robin Minz, Karn Sharma, Ryan Rickelton, Deepak Chahar, Allah Ghazanfar, Will Jacks, Ashwani Kumar, Mitchell Santner, Reece Topley, Shrijith Krishnan, Raj Angad Bawa, Satyanarayana Raju, Bevon Jacobs, Arjun Tendulkar, Lizaad Williams, Vignesh Puthur

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants hold the 6th position on the points table as of now. LSG has a solitary win from 3 games so far. They lost their opening fixture in what was a nail-biting affair against DC by 1 run. In their second game, LSG brushed aside SRH with ease by 5 wickets, but went down at home against PBKS in their following fixture. Skipper Rishabh Pant’s form is a big talking point, and his leadership has been under the scanner as well. If LSG wants to go deep into the tournament, Rishabh Pant, the captain and batter, has to come good.

LSG 2025 Squad: Rishabh Pant (C), Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Ayush Badoni, David Miller, Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Avesh Khan, Abdul Samad, Aryan Juyal, Akash Deep, Himmat Singh, M Siddharth, Digvesh Singh, Shahbaz Ahamad, Shamar Joseph, Yuvraj Chaudhary, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Arshin Kulkarni, Matthew Breetzke

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

The Super Kings from Chennai are the current holders of the 7th position on the points table. The 5-time champions are missing the charm of ‘Thala’ Dhoni’s finishing touch, besides their poor batting form. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra are the only shining stars in the batting lineup, the rest of the batters have been struggling to get going. CSK’s next task at hand is DC, whom they will play on April 5 in their own den, i.e., the Chepauk.

CSK 2025 Squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Devon Conway, Rahul Tripathi, Rachin Ravindra, Ravichandran Ashwin, Khaleel Ahmed, Noor Ahmad, Vijay Shankar, Sam Curran, Shaik Rasheed, Anshul Kamboj, Mukesh Choudhary, Deepak Hooda, Gurjapneet Singh, Nathan Ellis, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Jamie Overton, Shreyas Gopal, Vansh Bedi, Andre Siddarth

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

The Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are still aiming to put on a mammoth 300 on the board, are struggling to play even their full quota of 20 overs. After a dominating win in their opening encounter at home against Rajasthan Royals, the Sunrisers haven’t had a rising sun in their next two games as they got humiliated by LSG and DC and now languish at the 8th spot on the points table. Pat Cummins’ lackluster form and captaincy aren’t going well for the team, and they now face an uphill task in the form of high-flying Gujarat Titans on April 6 in Hyderabad.

SRH 2025 Squad: Pat Cummins (C), Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, Mohammad Shami, Harshal Patel, Ishan Kishan, Rahul Chahar, Adam Zampa, Atharva Taide, Abhinav Manohar, Simarjeet Singh, Zeeshan Ansari, Jaydev Unadkat, Wiaan Mulder, Kamindu Mendis, Aniket Verma, Ehsan Malinga, Sachin Baby

Rajasthan Royals (RR)

After two back-to-back defeats, the Rajasthan Royals finally gained momentum with a win over the 5-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 runs. It was a much-needed win for RR as they got themselves going on the points table. The Royals are still struggling with their batting unit, as they are yet to get a collective contribution from their batters. Holding the 9th position on the points table, the Royals are next scheduled to face table-toppers Punjab Kings on April 5 at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh.

RR 2025 Squad: Sanju Samson (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Sandeep Sharma, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Akash Madhwal, Kumar Kartikeya, Nitish Rana, Tushar Deshpande, Shubham Dubey, Yudhvir Charak, Fazalhaq Farooqui, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Kwena Maphaka, Kunal Rathore, Ashok Sharma

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

After almost two weeks of the Tata IPL 2025, it’s the reigning champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, right at the bottom of the points table. Having won only 1 out of the 3 games so far, KKR haven’t found their right combination as of yet. Ajinkya Rahane and co. will now head over to their home venue, i.e., the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, to find solace in their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 3.

KKR 2025 Squad: Rinku Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Harshit Rana, Ramandeep  Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Quinton de Kock, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Anrich Nortje, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Vaibhav Arora, Mayank Markande, Rovman Powell, Manish Pandey, Spencer Johnson, Luvnith Sisodia, Ajinkya Rahane, Anukul Roy, Moeen Ali, Chetan Sakariya
