The selectors may have dropped him from the Indian T20I squad, but thousands of hearts still skip a beat whenever Mahendra Singh Dhoni steps onto the ground. The 37-years old former skipper still rules a billion hearts and it is evident with the type of welcome he has received from his fans in Kerala.

The Indian national team is in Kerala to play the fifth and last ODI against Windies in the state’s capital Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield International Stadium. And, the ‘All Kerala Dhoni Fans Association’ planned to welcome their Thala with a 35-foot cut-out installed outside Greenfield Stadium which is winning a million hearts.

Although, Dhoni might not have scored runs with the bat but proved his worth again behind the stumps in the last ODI against Windies when he whipped the bails off to dismiss Keemo Paul in his trademark fashion-the lightning speed stumping. This will be the last outing of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in this year as he has been dropped from the T20I squad against Windies and Australia too. He will be next seen in the ODI series against Australia which is scheduled to begin from January 12, 2019.

In the ongoing series, the hosts are ahead by a 2-1 lead in the five-match series and need to avoid a defeat to seal the series. Once the ODI series gets over, both the sides will prepare for the 3 T20Is which are scheduled on November 04, 06 and 11 at Kolkata, Lucknow and Chennai respectively. Virat Kohli has been given rest in the series and Rohit Sharma has the charge to lead the side.
