KKR Playing 11: After a thumping win over SRH, Kolkata Knight Riders will be facing the defending champions Mumbai Indians here at Chennai. The Knight Riders haven’t been able to make the playoffs in the last two seasons but an opening win over Sunrisers would have given them a boost. Over the years, Mumbai has been a team which the Knight Riders have found the most difficult to win against. In 27 matches, Mumbai have won a whopping 21 times as compared to Kolkata’s 6. The record is enough to tell MI has been KKR’s nemesis in the IPL. In the last season too, it was Mumbai which won both the games comfortably. It will be a stern test for the Knight Riders as they would look to turn their fortunes.

For Kolkata, all the players will be available for selection. Given the game is in Chennai and they won their last game here, they are likely to continue their winning combination for this match. Here is how their eleven could be shaped up for this match:

KKR Playing 11 (likely)
N Rana
S Gill
R Tripathi
E Morgan (C)
D Karthik (wk)
A Russell
S Al Hasan
P Cummins
H Singh
P Krishna
V Chakravarthy

The opening partnership posted a half-century stand in the last game. A lot will be expected from Shubman Gill who got out cheaply in the last game. Middle order is KKR’s strength and is one of the best among all teams.
