LSG vs RR IPL 2024 Match 44 Match-Ups: Top 5 Player Battles to Watch Out For

Lucknow Super Giants will face off against Rajasthan Royals in the 44th match of IPL 2024 (April 27, 2024, at 7:30 pm) at BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

LSG are fourth in the IPL 2024 points table with five victories from eight games players as compared to RR, who are sitting pretty at the top with seven wins out of eight.

LSG have been decent at home, with their last victory coming against reigning champions Chennai Super Kings last time out. RR, too, are on a winning run and would look to continue that trend in Lucknow.

The coming match will be the fifth game between RR and LSG in the IPL. RR have registered three wins, while LSG have won one.

1. Jos Buttler vs Yash Thakur

The opener has a very bad record against LSG. However, Yash Thakur could not take his wicket in the last 4 matches met each other. Buttler has scored 23 runs off 21 balls against the bowler in the IPL.

2. KL Rahul vs Trent Boult

Rahul has scored 92 runs in 64 balls in the IPL. The bowler has sent the batter back twice. This will be a great battle to watch out for.

3. Yashasvi Jaiswal vs Mohsin Khan

Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed a match-winning century in the last game and looked good in form. The southpaw will look to carry on the momentum. However, it will be a challenge for him to see off the new ball and score runs. Mohsin Khan is also in good rhythm with the ball. 4. Nicholas Pooran vs Yuzvendra Chahal

Nicholas Pooran is destructive when it comes to power-hitting, and he has done pretty well this season. But the southpaw has a weakness against quick spin, and that can be exploited when Yuzvendra Chahal bowls at him. The veteran leg-spinner has joint-most wickets and is in good form this season. 5. Quinton de Kock vs Trent Boult

Quinton de Kock has been a key batter for LSG at the top, and his numbers at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium are very good. But he will have to face Trent Boult, who is destructive with the new ball. Boult has dismissed De Kock six times in white-ball cricket. In the IPL, De Kock has scored 52 runs off 42 balls and got out three times.

Marcus Stoinis smashed a stunning century in the last game against CSK and single-handedly won it for LSG. He will feel confident after that game and will look to win it again. But Ravi Ashwin will be a challenge for him. The veteran off-spinner has restricted him whenever he has bowled to him. Ashwin has only given away 23 runs off 27 balls, which is less than a run-a-ball, and has dismissed him once already.
