In the process, Iyer scored a scintillating century becoming only the second KKR player after the legendary Brendon McCullum to score a ton in Purple and Gold. His breathtaking effort with the bat helped him grab the Man of the Match award.

MI vs KKR: Venkatesh Iyer’s century in vain as MI clinched their second win on the bounce
Both teams headed into this contest eyeing for a win. Although MI won their previous fixture but that win came in the final over against DC. After a scratchy win, MI needed a dominating win and the likes of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Hrithik Shokeen sealed the deal for MI.
