Lasith Malinga joins MI Squad

Sri Lanka ace pacer Lasith Malinga has rejoined the MI squad ahead of the clash with Punjab. He had flown back to Sri Lanka after the clash with CSK to take part in the Super Provincial One-day tournament which serves as the base for the national squad selection for the World Cup 2019.

It will be interesting to watch if L Malinga gets a place in the playing 11 or not. Windies youngblood Alzari Joseph stunned everyone with his best debut figure (6-12) in the history of IPL and is a sure shot starter. So, it will be J Behrendorff who can make way for veteran Malinga.

L Malinga plays for Galle and took 7 wicket haul against Kandy and will return after the match against Punjab. Galle is slated to play the final against Colombo tomorrow morning.
