Mumbai Indians regular skipper Rohit Sharma missed out the previous encounter against Kings XI Punjab due to muscle spasm and is set to feature against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday eve. R Sharma pulled out the injury in the practice session ahead of the clash with Punjab and was suggested to rest.
In his absence, Kieron Pollard led the side and guided Mumbai Indians to 3 wickets wins with his swashbuckling 83 of just 31 delivery which included 10 maximums. Also, Siddesh Lad was handed the cap as the Mumbai cricketer took R Sharma’s spot. With Rohit returning back to playing 11, either S Lad or the wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan will sit out.
