Mitchell Starc injury: Things have gone very much horrible for the visiting Australian team so far in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 four-match Test series in India. The Pat Cummins-led Aussie side ended up losing the opening Test match by an innings and 132 runs and then succumbed to a disappointing 6-wicket defeat against India in the second Test. For the fourth time in a row, Australia have lost the chance to get their hands on the Border Gavaskar Trophy despite playing at home twice.
It has been a huge setback for Australia that their premier left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc was unfortunately not available for selection during the first two Test matches against India. Incidentally, the Aussie fast bowler suffered a finger injury during the previous Test series against South Africa at home and failed to recover in time to play the opening two games of this India tour. However, according to some relevant reports, Starc is now completely fit and available for selection in the upcoming third Test match in India scheduled to begin from 1 March, 2023 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. The visitors will definitely include the senior bowler in the playing XI in order to add more variety in their bowling attack.
