1. WAS Oatfield (Australia)

Australia’s Bert Oatfield has the most stumpings to his name in the history of Test cricket. He has a total of 130 dismissals from 54 Tests, which includes 78 catches and 52 stumpings. In the fourth Test against England in 1925, he executed four stumpings in an innings.

2. TG Evans (England)

TG Evans played 91 Tests for England, during which he affected 219 dismissals, which includes 173 catches and 46 stumpings. He was described by Wisden as “arguably the best wicket-keeper the game has ever seen”. Evans was the first wicket-keeper to reach 200 Test dismissals as well.

3. Syed Kirmani (India)

Syed Kirmani played 88 Test matches for India and was also a part of the 1983 World Cup winning team. Kirmani made a total of 198 Test dismissals, which included 160 catches and 38 stumpings.

4. MS Dhoni (India)

Former India captain MS Dhoni played 90 Test matches for the country and is regarded as one of the best wicket-keepers in the game. Dhoni has a total of 294 dismissals to his name in Test cricket, which includes 256 catches and 38 stumpings, joint most with Syed Kirmani from India.

5. Adam Gilchrist (Australia)

Former Australia wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist is also one among the best in the history of the game. He made 96 Test appearances for Australia, affecting 416 dismissals, that included 379 catches and 37 stumpings.

6. Prasanna Jayawardene (Sri Lanka)

Prasanna Jayawardene managed to play 58 Test matches for Sri Lanka during his career. He affected 152 dismissals in total, that includes 124 catches and 32 stumpings, making him the first Sri Lankan on this list.

7. Ian Healy (Australia)

Australia’s Ian Healy is third on the list of most dismissals by a wicket-keeper in Test cricket. He has a brilliant record of as many as 395 dismissals to his name, which includes 366 catches and 29 stumpings.

8. Wasim Bari (Pakistan)

Wasim Bari is the only cricketer from Pakistan on this list. He represented the country in 81 Test matches and affected a total of 228 dismissals. It includes 201 catches and 27 stumpings. Bari carried out a key role for Pakistan with the gloves during the 80’s and 90’s.

9. Romesh Kaluwitharana (Sri Lanka)

Romesh Kaluwitharana is the other Sri Lankan wicket-keeper on this list. He played Test cricket for 12 years, where he accumulated a total of 119 dismissals, that includes 93 catches and 26 stumpings.

10. Jack Blackham (Australia)

Jack Blackham is the final name on this list. He played 35 Test matches for Australia in his cricket career. Blackham affected a total of 59 dismissals, that includes 35 catches and 24 stumpings.
