MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi Dhoni posts Romantic Photo with hubby during Lockdown

The lockdown extension has helped cricketers to spend even more time at home with their family and loved ones. Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is doing no different and is spending his time at his farmhouse in his hometown in Ranchi.

His wife Sakshi took to Instagram to share a lovely pic with her better-half. In the pic, MS Dhoni is seen watching something on his i-pad, whereas, Sakshi is trying to bite his toe to grab Dhoni’s attention.

MS Dhoni’s wait prolonged due to COVID-19

Dhoni’s last appearance on the cricket field came in the 2019 World Cup semifinal in Manchester, where India suffered a heartbreaking loss at the hands of New Zealand. That loss shattered a billion hopes and India could not appear in the World Cup final. Post the World Cup, MS Dhoni made himself unavailable for national selection which made people think about Dhoni’s future as an Indian cricketer.

Dhoni was supposed to make a return to competitive cricket via IPL 2020, but the novel coronavirus prolonged MS Dhoni’s wait for return to the field. The Chennai Super Kings franchise was one of the first teams to start their training camp. MS Dhoni actively participated in the training sessions and played some practice games as well.

However, with the nationwide lockdown enforced by the Indian Government, the training camp also had to shut down abruptly, and since then no action has taken place in Cricket worldwide.

Dhoni’s international future still looms under clouds of doubt, and it would be interesting to see what future beholds for the former Indian skipper.
