MS Dhoni unveils New CSK Jersey 2021 for the upcoming IPL season

CSK New Jersey: Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni unveiled the new jersey for his Yellow Army for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The CSK new jersey was displayed by the official social media handle of the franchise as they posted a video of Dhoni unboxing it and presenting the jersey to the fans on camera.

“Thala Dharisanam! #WearOnWhistleOn with the all new #Yellove! #WhistlePodu” the CSK official handle posted.

The three time IPL winners will kick off their campaign by facing the runners up of last season Delhi Capitals on April 10. The match will be hosted in Mumbai.

Several Chennai Super Kings fans also expressed their excitement for the recent jersey unveiling, and have also started pre-ordering it for their own use.

MS Dhoni and his men had a disappointing IPL season in the UAE, as they finished 6th in the points table, and missed out on a spot in the playoffs for the very first time. However, preparations have already begun in the CSK camp, as they look to eye redemption here. MS Dhoni did announce his retirement from international cricket in August 2020, and it’s just the IPL that entire nation now awaits to get a site of the former World Cup winning captain in action.

MS Dhoni has made 204 IPL appearances so far. The CSK captain has scored 4632 runs, while having registered 23 fifties. He also has a strike rate of 136.8 in the process.

IPL 2021 Start Date

The IPL 2021 starts on April 9, with the first game of the tournament being contested between Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

No team will have a home game, and the playoffs will take place on May 30, in Ahmedabad. The other five venues apart from Ahmedabad are Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.
